Cuarteto Iberia

MERITA, short for Music – cultural hERItage – TAlent, aims to improve access and participation in cultural activities, both in larger and smaller places, promoting European cultural heritage while strengthening the link between online and offline engagement. With the idea of this platform being a “promotional showcase for artists”, the goal of the “MERITA” project is to encourage the discovery of new places that will overcome not only geographical boundaries but also conceptual, artistic and cognitive ones. The organizers claim that the word “quartet” is also taken as a metaphor for an ideal society, a meeting place of different cultures, which through mutual dialogue builds beauty, taste aesthetics and a permanent artistic bond. In addition to the possibility of live performances, “MERITA” provides another very important source of information and a meeting place, which is the already mentioned digital platform www.meritaplatform.eu. It aims to contribute to the building of mutual cooperation, as well as to the improvement of culture and identity, by turning primarily to young people.
